BULDING A WEBSITE

To make real money online you will first need to build an online presence and create a business, you first need to assemble the components nec

essary to create a website (or at the very least a ‘squeeze page’).

If you don’t know where to start, there is no need to worry because there are many services providers offering web building services as well as many places where you can get a website built for free.

Free Websites

A quick google search will locate many “free” web building sites such as:

www.wix.com/  www.weebly.com/   www.webs.com/ www.yola.com/   www.moonfruit.com/  www.own-free-website.com/ www.webstarts.com/ www.gybo.com/ www.website.com/ www.ucoz.com/  these are only a sample few.

However even though they say “free” often times there are other costs and you find that it’s not as simple to do as they say.

Once your know how to create your website you need to provide a reason for people to visit and that is best accomplished with great content. If you don’t know what content to put on the squeeze page (or landing page).

In simple terms, you need a great headline, to capture the readers attention and 3 to five short, snappy bullet points that makes the readers take action (perhaps you could offer a free gift) to encourage them to opt-in.

Creating an eBook

If you don’t have a free report or eBook to give your visitors I would suggest using a Private Label Right (PLR) product which you can either use ‘as is’ or adapting it, as your own, by personalizing it in anyway you want. Which might take you about 60 minutes or longer to recreate as your own, but it will be well worth it. Or you can use the information as ‘content‘ for your website.

Domain Name and Hosting

So getting a site built is straightforward but in order to build a website you also need to register a domain name and establish a hosting account  which may cost between $10 – $30 pa. Some hosting and Domain companies will offer both, again a Google search will help here;

There are lots of options, if you need a recommendation for domain registration & hosting, I like NameCheap.com. Once you have a domain name, hosting account and website builder you are ready to build your website. But having a website online is not that same as having a profitable online business because you now need to interact with your visitors (potential customers) in order to create a commercial relationship and make money.

Auto Responder

You will need an auto-responder to automate the process, of customer contact, follow up and product or information delivery, for both the front and back end of your sales funnels. Most people use a 3rd party Auto Responder services like Aweber, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Get Response, iContact, etc.

So putting the basic components together from different sources for a website is not very difficult and once you have your basics setup, your website needs content that provides information that gives your visitors a reason to want to find out more and eventually go on, to purchase products or services from you.

How well you do this determines the success of failure of your online website. Many would be marketers and first-time site builders’ focus too much on building the website and fail to appreciate the importance of the overall strategy, marketing psychology and the creation of sales funnels when attempting to develop an online business. Building your website is really the easy part.

Getting it Ready
