Niche Marketing For Success

Picking a Niche that is the most popular, is not a guarantee of success. Picking the right niche is often not the same thing as picking one of the more popular niches. In fact the more popular a niche is, may not mean thats it profitable. It all about how you market the niche you pick.

To better help you understand just how potentially profitable picking the right can be, I have a Niche Marketing Video Course of ten models that will show you how you can start to profit from niche marketing. The entire course is video based making it easy to follow and understand.

Many people getting started online are under the misimpression that the niche they should start working in is the Internet Marketing niche (make money online type) or in the weight loss niche.

Due to the huge volume of monthly searches for those two keywords. Google shows there is 273,000,000 and 221,000,000 respective search results for just these words alone and around 438,220 and 663,618 actual monthly traffic searches.

Choosing a Niche

So of course, people get excited by the possibilities of getting a portion of that traffic and if you know how to tap into these niches then no doubt you could be sitting on a virtual goldmine.

However, there is also massive competition for these niches as everyone wants a share of that volume. So for most people this is an unrealistic expectation, to be able to compete in such a highly competitive market.

What is important to realize, is that there are many other profitable niches that you could choose from and most of these niches will have less competition. And they are still large enough to make you a great income.

Jumping In

If you choose too, you could jump into multiple niche markets by providing added value to the readers’ within those niches and begin profiting from several niche markets at the same time, as this would provide you with multiple streams of income.

However, you need to understand what you are doing and how to do this effectively This is where many make the biggest mistakes with niche marketing. They select the wrong niches, choose the wrong keywords and target the wrong audience.

What is a Niche Marketer?

As a Niche Marketer, essentially you are selling products for a commission. If you don’t have your own products then you’ll be finding affiliate products and promoting them online via your own affiliate link. If someone clicks on your link and then buys the product, you’ll get a percentage of the sale.

Often, niche marketing involves selling digital products and you can expect your percentage to be as much as 50% all the way up to 75% of the sale price.

There’s usually little risk because you have nothing to ship or to stock. So all you have to do is to promote and sell the product and in some cases you’ll earn more than the actual product creator.

The hard part though, is in doing the selling. This is where the ‘marketing’ part comes in, and your job from here is to find yourself an audience, through a blog, a website, an email campaign, online advertising, or through social media; whichever method(s) you find the most effective.

Building an Audience

That means creating a website, or a blog, and promoting it and building a list of subscribers.

Getting to the point of making good money is slow going. You can expect it to take at least several months if not a year or more to go from 0 to 500 visitors a day before you’ll start to accumulate exponential growth.

During this stage, niche marketing is anything but passive. You’ll be investing large amounts of time into writing compelling content that people will want to read, building a list of followers, emailing subscribers and managing your promotions.

Rushing In

But, in their rush, they tend to choose what I like to call a ‘bandwagon‘ product. They want this particular product because they think about the immediate demand without actually considering if the product appeals to them or their prospects or has any long term appeal.

So instead of jumping on the bandwagon, I suggest you try to choose a product your readers are truly interested in.

Take the extra time to do some research about the product to see if it is in demand and determine if there is genuine long term interest in information about that product.

Research

A quick way to find out if a product is in demand is to do a Google search for the product and see if anyone else is promoting it.

If you see, several Google ads on the side of the search results page you can be reasonably sure that there is a real market for the product.

On the other hand, if there very few or no ads for the product then this may be a sign of weak competition, and you may want to drop that product and move on.

On a side note, if there are too many ads for the product then your competition will be pretty stiff, and you may want to reconsider promoting it.

But market research is an entirely different subject than what we are discussing in this post so that we will move on.

Well, the biggest reason is that there are some 3 billion people who are searching for information and looking for solutions to problems online. Working online from home and getting in front of some of these people would be a smart business to be involved with.

So how can we do that?

With affiliate marketing, there are many ways in which you can do this. Most of the techniques and tactics can be learned easily at Wealthy Affiliates, and there is no need to go anywhere as they are available online, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and you can learn all you need to know. In the meantime let’s now look at the biggest fear/problem people have to work online, and that is SELLING…

How to Sell?

Expert salespeople and successful marketers know and understand the importance of selling the problem first, which is why they always start off by describing the problems that their product or service is the answer to.

By doing so they ensure that they have a ‘target’ audience for the solution they are proposing. Then once they have identified potential customers they then proceed to unearth the potential clients ‘hot buttons’ and this is usually achieved by asking questions or in the case of online marketing, presenting the proposal in a helpful and customer focused way.

But It Doesn’t Always Happen

Unfortunately, most salespeople and marketers jump right into selling the features and benefits of their product, or service without taking the time to understand if the prospect even has a need for the solution they are presenting.

So to sell something successfully, you should always “sell the problem BEFORE you sell the solution!”

So creating an affiliate website is not about selling. Instead, it’s about giving your readers accurate information and presenting real solutions to problems.

How to Provide Information?

One way to present information is through the use of product recommendations that actually provides a real solution to a real problem.

When you are recommending products this way, there are some things to remember in how to make this type of product promotion work to your advantage.

Do not be afraid to mention things that you do not like about a given product or service. Rather than lose points, this will make your recommendation more believable and will tend to increase your credibility. If your visitors are really interested in what you are offering, they will be more than happy to learn what is good and what is not so good about the product and how it will benefit them.

Most top selling marketers know that this is one of the most effective ways in promoting products because if the customers or visitors trust you enough, then they will also trust your recommendations.

Something Else

Another thing to remember is to avoid hype at all costs. It is better to sound low key and confident than to scream out and seek attention. Remember; prospects are not stupid. They are actually turning to the internet more and more and are asking experts and many already know the things that you know.

Buyer resistance diminishes in direct proportion to trust. If your visitors feel and believe that you are an expert in your niche and are trustworthy, they are more inclined to make a purchase through you.

Also, before you recommend a product, you should at the very least have given it a try and have tested the products support service. Do not run the risk of promoting junk merchandise and services. Just remember that it takes a long time to build credibility and trust among your visitors, and this can all be destroyed by one small mistake on your part.

Of course, you do!. Who would not want to know some tips to get more website traffic, or even, how to get more traffic to your website or free?

Let me begin by telling you about how it used to be for me… I had been online for several years and had been struggling to get sales for my online business, and I was quickly realizing that getting Traffic to my website was a major problem for me.

I realized that I needed a solution to this problem. So I went to work and after a long and difficult search, I figured out ‘how to get more visitors to my website‘ and then everything changed!

Why is SEO Important?

Understanding the power of SEO and it’s importance means knowing things like…The first page of Google receives 91% of all search clicks, and SEO is a great way to generate FREE traffic.

What’s important is there are some 3 billion people who are looking (searching) for information and solutions to problems online and have good SEO is key to tapping into that hungry market.

Recent Changes at Google

Recent changes with Google such as, Panda, Penguin, and Hummingbird (as well as other the many other changes, that have occurred) have completely altered the old ways used to optimize SEO value of websites and what used to once work, are now no longer good strategies for getting Google Page Rankings.

These updates have changed the SEO power of writing and submitting articles and this now old strategy is not as effective as it once was.

What Does it Mean?

It means that there is essentially little value in article marketing anymore via article directories, and you certainly do not want duplicate content on your site or copied articles sourced from elsewhere, and you definitely don’t want to be stuffing keywords into your site, aimed just at the search engines. None of these strategies will work anymore.

Google Panda, was first introduced in February 2011, focusing on eliminating low-quality, duplicate content or thin sites for those with in-depth, regularly updated quality content.

Google Penguin, was released in April 2012 and was Google’s response to so-called “black hat” SEO tactics for link building. These included buying links, building thin sites simply for the purpose of linking back to the main site, trading links, comment spam links, and similar tactics to achieve high rankings.

Ever since the Google update, backlinks, pinging or sending out RSS feeds are much less effective.

Google Hummingbird, was introduced in late 2013, reinforcing everything that had been done through Panda and Penguin and two other important concepts, increasing the importance of mobile responsive designs and quality of content.

Before Hummingbird, search engines typically interpreted queries using what it identified as the most important keywords. But now Google has begun to look at the relationship between terms to interpret the context of the search. Or in other words, what sort of content is the user searching for.

You Need to do Things Differently

You now need to do things differently, such as your first keyword should appear in the title of your post and not just in the URL and Keywords should appear in your first paragraph and the last sentence of the page.

You have to optimize your keywords with a density of no more than 3–5% throughout your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing).

You should use H1, H2, H3 tags for headings and subheadings if they contain your keywords, and there should also be at least one internal link to a page on your blog and at least one image with an alt tag that has your keyword.
